We are pleased to announce that we have integrated Badgeville’s gamification technology into our Zendesk ticketing system. As you use the helpdesk to perform different actions, (searching documentation, contributing to forums, completing satisfaction surveys, etc.) you will be able to earn many different badges and complete many different missions.
Through this integration we hope to increase community engagement, and to not only give you new channels to share your experiences and ideas, but also to reward you for it!
If you hover over a user’s picture, a summary profile appears, showing how many points and rewards that user has, as well as the last badge earned.
"Click for profile" to see a user’s showcase, which displays their progress on the current missions, with hints on how to earn the badges associated with the missions. You also can see your own showcase by clicking on the “Profile” link in the upper right corner.
Note: Your profile picture displays your Gravatar, if you have one. If you do not, you can click on the "Settings" link inside the showcase to upload one.
Opting out of the program
If your organization decides that it would not like to participate in this integration, you can opt-out. To opt-out, click on the "Settings" link inside the Showcase. From there you will see an "Opt-out of Badgeville Tracking" button.
Keep in mind that this is a permanent operation. If you opt-out and later choose to reverse the change, please open a ticket with Support.
Please note: This is an organization-wide change, not just a user-specific change.
