Engine Yard for the Windows Azure Store: Technology Stack

This Engine Yard technology stack was designed specifically for the Windows Azure Store.

Stack Components      Type      Specification   Notes         
Ruby Language Interpreter  1.9.3-p448  
Rails Web Application Framework  3.x Specified as part of an application's dependencies in its Gemfile.
We recommend the latest 3.2, minimum 3.0; not yet tested with 4.0.
Nginx Web Server 1.4.1 Uses the latest from https://launchpad.net/~nginx/+archive/stable?field.series_filter=precise
We recommend using the latest version.
HAProxy Load Balancer 1.4.18 Uses the latest from http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise-updates/haproxy
Unicorn Application Server 4.1.1 Specified as part of an application's dependencies in its Gemfile.
We recommend using the latest version.
MySQL Database 5.5.31 Uses the latest from http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise-updates/mysql-server-5.5
Ubuntu Operating System 12.04 LTS

Extra Small Instance (A0) Server A0 - Azure Standard Compute Instance 2 load balancer servers

Internet Explorer Browser 9.x / 10.x

If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer, or have compatibility view enabled, you need to upgrade to Internet Explorer 9 or 10, or disable compatibility view.
